Zashadu Girl, Medina Dugger

by Zainab Ashadu

Medina Dugger is a freelance Photographer and Artist. She also works as Curator at African Artists' Foundation. Medina hails from California and Texas, USA and lives and works in Lagos, Nigeria.

Tell us a Beauty Secret of Yours? The squat challenge is my secret. It's 30 days squatting leading to 250 squats/day. Not for kids. Burt's Bees Rose Water Toner and Benetint Rose Lip and Cheek Stain are my newest product addictions. I'm a firm believer in rouge. Chrysanthemum flower tea is a visually beautiful way to start the day -flowers in your morning mug. It makes me feel beautiful on the inside.

What your Favourite city and Why? Lagos. It's the New York of Africa. Its visceral-ness is refreshing. I've never encountered a city that challenged and enriched my life to such an extent.

What do you do to relax? I eat chocolate, drink responsibly, dance, listen to music, get outside and chill with good vibration people.

What do you love most above your Box Clutch? I love the design most. To carry it, one at once feels special and unique, like a queen. This clutch is raw and elegant at the same time. I love the bold colour, the structure, the raw amethyst. I appreciate that it is made from natural materials and not manmade toxic plastic. This bag is tres chic and timeless.

What Bag do you have your Eye on from the current Collection? I am a bonafide Zashadu addict. My eyes never break their gaze from them. I can't choose just one!  If pressed, I need the box clutch with a strap urgently.
